Illustrated here is a mahogany executive desk of Georgian style. There is a pencil tray fitted in the centre drawer. The reverse side of the desk features a modesty panel in the centre and plain astragal mouldings on the pedestals. The elaborate circular astragal mouldings on the ends of the pedestals were taken from a design by Thomas Chippendale and used on his famous 'Nostell Priory' desk.
