Unusually, this mahogany dining table converts from an inner circular top, seating six, to a handsome oval shape seating approximately ten. The six extension leaves necessary to achieve the oval shape are clipped and supported around the edge of the inner circular top. When not in use, or for transportation purposes the leaves are stored in a separate baize-and-foam lined box for protection. There is an inner apron for the table. The slides necessary to support the outer leaves pull through the apron.

The 2382IAO version of our extending dining table is exquisitely veneered in exotic Mediterranean olivewood veneer. The veneer was painstakingly selected for its pale colour and extraordinary contrasts that create a swirling marble effect. The decorative effect is dramatically enhanced in the skilled hands of Arthur Brett’s craftsmen. The slip match veneers precisely fit around the table to create a beautiful radial pattern that is centred by an inlaid circle of rare burr thuya. The addition of the six specially shaped leaves around the circular centre bed achieves an oval shape which is capable of seating approximately ten people. When the leaves are not in use, a separate baize-and-foam lined storage box is supplied for their protection. This elegant table provides the perfect solution for the discriminating client who wants a fresh approach combined with the finest craftsmanship.
